There's something better than breakfast at Tiffany's, and that is lunch at Cartier. Last week, I went on a little lunch break to Cartier and had the most wonderful and decadent experience. I tried on gold Love bracelets, a diamond Juste un Clou, pink and yellow diamond trinity rings, a triple mixed metal diamond solitaire, rose gold Love diamond rings; I drank Cartier water and ate Cartier mints. It was basically the most perfect day. As I was sitting in the chair with jewels brought to me, I remembered the last time I was at Cartier, and then I remembered that the last time I was at Cartier, I was snubbed! The last time I was there a few years ago, I was not yet a card carrying Cartier client and I asked to try on a gold Love bracelet. Instead of all the Cartier waters, diamonds and Cartier mints, I was Cartier rejected! First she told me, she didn't have my size. Then I said, I'll try on any size. Then she said that she couldn't let me. Then I asked her why. Then she looked dead into my eyes, lied, and said that it was Cartier's policy to not let anybody try them on. Scratches you see. Then I stormed out. Then the Cartier lady didn't do anything because she was happy to be rid of me. Sure, I was mad, but then, it's the price you pay to be an elitist. So now I just always remember to wear my Cartier when entering the store so that I can be an elitist too. How does that saying go? Cartier is always a good idea, unless you don't own any. #dontleavehomewithoutit
